A soldier's story

by BittersweetDecay   May 16, 2006

\"I\'ll wait for u forevermore to come back honey\"
She said to him when he left the house\'s harmony
Their tears weren\'t enough to express the pain
Kissing for minutes, hoping it\'s not in vain...

He soon became a soldier established far away
A filthy room and a choking smell...every day
The gun powder impregnated in his skin
So cruel the fights, and his eyes so unclean

Nothing could made him forget her fragile body
Not the boots\' filling the canteen and making it crowdy
Nor the blood on his face after the training
Crying and washing his face...who was he blaming?

Second after second he suffered deep inside
Hoping she\'s there...his feelings started to collide
As he wrote his beloved one daily letters
She rarely wrote back..what was the matter?

The soldier\'s grief increased as the months passed
Cruel army wasn\'t enough to forget..he was no more blessed
By the heaven...no remorses in that final weeks
So glad he went home...thinking at her rosy cheeks

The days he fought to keep away the mental distance
Army made him a man...but inside was that love independence
That blooded when he found the house so cold
He kneeled and cried so hard...no more the soldier so bold

\"The distance destroyed our bond..i fell for other\"
Was the note on the table..memories floading one after another
Invaded his mind...why wasn\'t love enough to keep them embraced?
They should have been one being...nevermore to be replaced
