Unwanted

by Jenn   May 16, 2006

You didn't ask lust to spread a
Sweet smile across my face
Or the leap in your heart
And the flutters in your stomach
To carry us into the unknown

I'll tell you this and only once
Dear King Midas, I'm precious gold
But is that more than
You bargained for?

Does the smoke in my eyes
Seep into yours?
The fire in my heart-
Is it melting your own?

Push me away
I dare you

And All those "sticky" hott summer nights
will quickly grow lonely and cold
