My Dying Prayer

by Kevin Fitz   May 17, 2006

My Dying Prayer

Torment ridden
in a world forbidden
in the darkest of hearts

I'm a face with no name
A structure with no frame
a heart imprisoned with shame

from depths of the damned
where even sorrow hides it's pain
and ancient memories remain

there lies a heart in need of You
and the hope You bring among the ashes
that surround the lifelessness of my body
still buried in the hope of what is true

tragedy bears it's scars
so I too must bear mine
through the falling of your stars
and the passing of time

take me from this world
i give what is left of me
take me from this life
through love and purity.
