Girl

by Kari Nichols   May 17, 2006

How can you trust a girl
That\\\'s ripped half her heart off her sleeve?

One that holds the barrel in her mouth
Waiting for someone else to pull the trigger.

One that steps back from the edge of the cliff
So she can get a good running start.

The one that\\\'s willing to do anything anywhere
Just to cover up all the truths she\\\'s hiding.

She\\\'s ready and willing to let everything go
For a kiss that means nothing.

Willing to trip into a seamless hole
That consumes her mind.

How can you trust the girl
That\\\'s turned away like everyone else?
