The sights and sounds of night time

by ...   May 18, 2006

Upon the chime of midnights stroke
The night sky wears a starry cloak
And all alone the shining moon
Sings a lonely silent tune
Upon the winds ride screaming wails
Of memories and tall tales
Along with whispers of what went wrong
From following the sirens song
The street lights hum their eerie glow
For the people who will come and go
Shadows dance the night away
Of strangers who are out to play
The water, like a sheet of glass
Meets up with the dew drop grass
But when the sun does show its face
The sights and sounds of night time leave this place
And go into hiding, far away
To await the end of another day
