Alone

by ...   Jul 30, 2006

A night, alike another
to many, but not me
the hour is so late that even
god has gone to sleep
and hurt is all around me
so thick in the night air
tearstains pave the way for a
lone smile that did not dare
red hot is the anger
that does course throughout my veins
what point is there for
a girl with naught to gain
bloody ink seeps through my skin
the words that they did say
they forgot, they could not
see that scars dont go away.
fixed up new with old duct tape
and stiches is the heart
that, when needed
and when supposed
did not start
so she lost what she needed most.
and the things within her head did scream
driven upon a lack of dreams
she needs an answer
needs a cause
the truth behind
the bolted doors
suspended in a timeless hell
repercussions only time can tell
where pitchforks pierce the tattered skin
to hit the spot where this did begin
All this behind such a sweet smile
to incubate bitter denial
her world has collapsed but the sun still shines
ever wondered why im not feeling fine?
all of this, to all unknown
ever wondered why
im so alone
