Where is Your God?

by Tori   May 18, 2006

Where is your God,
That you've spoken so highly of?
Where is your saving grace?
He 'saved your life,'
When you had finally given up,
Hoped for death, lost without a trace.
How can you love someone so much,
When all you've done since the day they 'helped you,'
Is wished for your own demise?
Does he know the pain?
The pain I see in you every day.
Does he see the suffering?
The suffering of you, in every way.
How can they be as good as you say?
He obviously doesn't see what I do.
Or know that pain that you're living through.
If he's a savior, why is he torturing you?
A blessing, you say.
Then you go home and cut.
Leaves me with a knot, deep within my gut.
Where is your God,
And what does he do?
Besides sit back and torture you.
You have a spirit so beautiful,
When you're high off that blade.
But once it fades,
You crash and burn.
Will you never learn?
You're drowning in a pool of doubt,
Thinking that there's no way out.
But there is.
You only need to listen to,
Those who care,
Who are always there.
Instead of pushing them away,
Telling them there is no hope, no love,
Except that from above.
Maybe that's what your God wanted,
He wanted to help you help yourself.
