The First

by Whispering*Willow(Mercedes)   May 19, 2006

He wasn't what I reckoned him to be
A heart of gold shown only for me
And I, a heart of ice; play the frosted queen
Yet, one is never quite what they seem

But please, please, don't shatter my heart,
For I'm melting, I'm melting, I'm falling apart
Don't leave me alone, cold to this place
Or watch the tears fall off of my face.

This world is a cruel, inhuman disaster
The molecules of love spinning faster and faster
And here I might admit my sorrow and shame
To believe that you wouldn't come to me again.
