Guilty Conscience

by Whispering*Willow(Mercedes)   Oct 5, 2006

Guilt is like the rain
Pouring from my eyes
Trying to hide the truth
Way down, deep inside
But you saw a glimmer
And guessed what I had to lie
And now I sit alone in here
To bid my rightful time.
And when you saw my secret
You shunned me with despise
And all I have ever done for you
Right then and there just died
Your trust in me was broken
And everything that was yours and mine
But the solution was so simple
When you could've just asked why.
