Rest in Paradise Jose Morales Jr.

by Laydi Dreamer   May 20, 2006

As i look into the bright sun of today
i remember how we once used to play
running around outside having so much fun
our life wasnt plagued by gangs and guns
i miss those days where we never used to care
now we all wonder in a few years who will be here
where are you when i need you now
you now r 6ft under the ground
i miss you so much it wasnt you time
now i always wonder when will it be mine
we were so close such good friends
i never thought that there would be an end
but i was stupid cuz there always is
in the life of crime and the biz
i will never forget the day you went to the homeland
you told me to be strong and not to be sad
you left with our best friend
you promised me that there would be no end
you lied to me Jose cuz the end is here
and im trying not to cry, holding all the memories dear
you were an artist with such a full life ahead
"Everyone will love my art" is what you always said
we all got caught up in the life that wasnt for us
we all thought living life like that was a must
now your gone and we cant get out
we have our guns, always running about
i remember the choice that we made so long ago
we said we would always be homies to hold on and never let go
we always said live life as if everyday was your last
never once thinking one of us would feel the blast
so here we all are praying your in a better place
one where there is no pain and hate against our race
i kno that one day i will see you again
so i end this by sayin save a spot for me in heaven
