My One True Love

by ..:::Sweet Poetry Woman:::...   May 20, 2006

I want us to be together,
He said.
But I knew deep down inside,
Are family’s would never let us be together.
I want us to run away together.
He said once more.
But I knew
I could not upset my family anymore.
It was for that cause I did what I did.
He held me and said “I would die for you” I cried in his open arms and said “Oh my love never let me go “
I cried in his arms more, hoping that the love that we shared would never go away.
We ran together to the depths of heaven,
Were no one could ever tell us we can’t be together.
Stop! I turned slowly around to see what voice told us to stop.
It was my love’s brother.
“What are you doing here” my love said.
“If I can’t have her no one can”
My love’s brother shot at me with a bow and arrow.
“No”!
I gasped with one last breath,
To find that my love was the one who protected me from the arrow.
He fell into my arms, the blood that dripped from my love
Had soaked its way through my dress.
“Oh my love you saved my life”
With my love’s last breath he reached for my face,
As the cold blood rained from his hand .
“I will love you, always and forever”
My love died into my arm’s.
With my last breath I said to him,
“And you will not be alone”
I pierced the arrow through my flesh as well.
And died happily with my one true love.
