Turtle

by PS   May 20, 2006

Walk through life at a chosen speed
pick your sights and smells
running faster than the fastest train
what will you miss when you fast forward rain

turning slower and small steps to a turtles
living within its own shell watching the world
seeing the life around him, the burning sand
whitewashed with the rays of the sun
or the cooling ocean water that connects all the world

the slower he walks the more he sees
all that there is to perceive
about all the world round
speeding up destroy the sound
of the seagulls chirping across the sky
and the roar of the water loving the sand

tell me would you that the life were a blur
or distinct and clear to forever remember
