Love never dies (even if we do)

by Unconformist   May 20, 2006

She shared a love for him
that would never end
he was her stability
he was her friend
she didn\\\'t know how to tell him
she wanted to so bad
oh but if only that happened
if only she had
she never told him
so he got a new girl
as far as everyone knew
she was his world
her friends told her to hurry
it wasn\\\'t too late
but she was already broken
so she chose her own fate
sure they were still friends
he never noticed anything wrong
her friends wondered what took her so long
but the truth is
that she had too much pride
she never would tell him
what she felt inside
that night she decided
she would end it right now
she chose to be dead
but she wondered how
she found a big knife
said \\\"goodbye my love\\\"
and slit her arms and throat
until it was enough
she was still breathing when he got there
his eyes full of tears
as the ambulance pulled in
he remembered all the years
he had come to say he loved her
he had noticed what was wrong
he just had too much pride
he didn\\\'t mean to take so long
by her grave after the funeral
he pulled out that same knife
he just couldn\\\'t breathe without her
so he took his own life
he had shared a love for her
that would never end
she had been his stability
she had been his friend
so with his last breath
as everyone rushed outside
he said \\\"i loved her so much\\\"
and over her grave did he lie.
