Beautiful sin

by Wildflower   May 21, 2006

The silent monster lives imprisoned within each of our souls
Craving to be released
purring in conscience demand
pleading to let it be

when there is emptiness or lack of interest
when there is boredom or pain
in the midst of a mundane life
it offers you a game

it whispers let me fill the gaps
let me ease the pain
let me turn your world upside down
to sheer bliss I aim

Us humans are vulnerable
unable to resist temptation
no matter how long you put up the fight
it always wins in the end

it gives you a sip of heaven
in mere seconds that rush away
leaving you defenseless shuddering in pleasure mingles with pain

as the cold air seeps through your pores
life is awakened in every cell
you close your eyes and swear
over this crazy ride

sensations keep pouring
tingles seem to never end
desire consuming
alas, fulfillment catches you off-guard

hence, it all ends
the beautiful sin
