In the rain...

by Chuck Aquino   May 21, 2006

In the rain, I see this lady
A beautiful lady, all wet and shady
Water sculpts the cheek with just drips
And she smiles with only her lips
She stares at the sky
She spins with her clothes flapping as I stood by
The lady stopped, rounded her lips and looked at me
So strange but, yet so pretty
She came, and gave me a folded piece of paper
She walked away, and disappeared like vapor
I opened up the piece and read
A name and a number that appeared in red
Ada was her name
My heart started beating and grew a flame
So I just took a seat on the wet sidewalk and didn't talk
And, I just stood there until, I blacked out in deep thought

Good write overall. Some great descriptions, my favourite lines were "Water sculpts the cheek with just drips
And she smiles with only her lips"
I think having the lady's name as "Angel" is a little cliche but oh well.
You need to edit it because you have some strange characters in there.
    Good job.
