Lost Humanity

by Hannah   May 23, 2006

Lost humanity,
Found insanity.
Looking for something,
Finding nothing.
Helping people to live,
Leaving them to die.
What are we?
You and I?
Shouting silently,
Whispering loudly.
Living on the edge,
Sleeping soundly.
Blind children,
Finding their way.
We dont listen to,
What they have to say.
Walking fast,
Thinking slow,
This is what we have to show.
In a hurry to get to no where,
Hating each other,
And people who swear.
Who are we to judge one another?
When one son can kill his brother.
Child abuse,
Killers let loose,
What is this world coming to?
Being hated for no other reason
Other than you are you.
Despised for who we are.
World swamped bye busses and cars
Looking close,
Yet looking so far.
Road rage,
Animals forced in a cage,
Reading a book,
Just turning one page.
Constantly looking at the time,
Stop and think isnt this a sign?
The mirrors, which lie,
And the tearless people,
Which cry.
And as we watch,
Time just flys and passes by.
Look how far weve come
But no far enough for some,
Wanting to reach some unknown place
Trying to see the invisible face,
Everythings just an on going race
To get somewhere,
When we have all the time.
In the world.
