Dream Vaction

by Nikki   May 24, 2006

As we waited at the airport,
For that enormous flying machine.
I remember feeling impatient,
I was starting to get mean.
When I finally saw the plane,
My heart filled with joy.
I didn't know what to expect,
A feeling you cannot destroy.
The flight was not so fun,
Kind of boring in a way,
But I was so excited to finally get there,
A constant party for 7 days!
Each day we sat by the pool,
Enjoying the hot sun's ray's.
Loving every minute,
Of these vacation days.
One of the many people,
Who I met at this dreamy place,
Was the sweetest guy ever.
And had a gorgeous face.
We spent the rest of the time together,
Walking hand-in-hand.
Evening walks on the beach,
On the beautiful soft sand.
We would talk about everything,
Throughout the day and night.
I felt so safe and warm,
As he held me in his arms so tight.
The time to go was almost near,
Where I had to say goodbye.
We spent the last day and night together,
All I could do was sigh.
When my time there was up,
And I had to leave,
I was truly upset,
And I wiped my tears on my sleeve.
How I wish I could go back
To that enchanting vacation.
Where there was fun, friends, and romance,
And plenty of temptation.
I will never forget those times,
Walking on the beach,
Feeling so much passion.
A feeling you cannot teach.
Now it's all over,
It's finality.
It's time to face the world,
In all reality.
