The final walk

by katie!   May 26, 2006

A misconception made in life, is that there is a meaning
A fate behind our emotions, and a path behind our feelings
Yet when we feel our hearts break, and our families fall apart
Is it divine intervention? Were we doomed from the start?

When all life leads to death, some think there is no hope
But when we live and feel, there are always ways to cope
There is always light in every dark, and always truth in lies
As life is a gift then so is death, to some who cannot fly

A journey we must all make, to the path after our life
And there is no doubt that our walk will be in strife
Tragedies occur, people hurt and people die
But is that not why we all have the ability to cry

When darkness is looming, and the end is nigh
Will you look upon regrets? Or hold your head up high
Walk into the valley of death with no regret or wrong
Or love forever in the past, singing disaster’s song

"singing disasterâ??s song " looks like the site messed with it a bit. but loved the poem. definately the second and last stanza. life is about perspective it is what we try and make of it. of course there will be times when everything is out of our hands and things will just have to come out the way they do but for the most part we do control how well we live. great job. sorry i haven't had much time to keep up with your poetry.
