Beg For Mercy

by Tyrael   May 27, 2006

One dark and lonely night,
he would've never guessed..
I would make this night his last,
My smirk would be his final sight.

I followed him home,
and I waited till late..
in his house I dared to roam,
this man I had truly hate.

He knows I'm near,
he reaches for the knife..
the fool has yet to learn,
I'll be the one to take his life.

A swift punch to the face,
a kick to the groin..
the pain in his eyes,
a symbol for all the human race.

I took his knife,
I ran him through..
I split his heart,
why did he have to die, only I knew.

Before my blade,
for my mercy he begged..
but I have none to give,
and so his body bled.

By now you must think I'm the bad guy, but let me tell you the rest of the story. This man was a rapist, he had raped 4 little girls and had badly scared the last. He begged for mercy, and I showed him it. I showed him the mercy he showed those poor girls, I showed him just a small bit of the pain the girls endured. I made him pay for what he did, but even so I'm no hero. I was like him once, don't make a saint of a sinner. But isn't it interesting that opinions are largly based on only informstion presented, never asking important questions like "What did he do?" And of course my favorite question, which he denied the answer to those girls.."Why?"

And what of those little girls? Should I have denied them justice because this peice of slag had a soul? Life isn't precious, only the good ones are worth letting live.

What you did was kind of wrong there are other ways to solve this problem. You did it for a good reason but still life is very precious. Your poem was very good
