Torture

by Mark McCraw II   May 27, 2006

Torture to sit here,
doing nothing at all,
to catch herself mid-air,
and save her from this fall.

Torture to listen,
to everyone scream,
watching her tumble,
while seeing her careen.

Torture to feel,
the wind rush across,
and chilling her face,
its because she's a loss.

Torture to not,
be able to turn,
back away,
from this disturbing burn.

Torture to think,
about all this in vain,
thinking the thought,
that brought her this pain.

Torture to write,
about this event,
seeing through her eyes,
how this story went.

Torture to,
have to end,
this story with,
such a nasty bend.

This story ends,
with a deafening pain,
and thats why I,
had to write this thing

I like it. It leaves the reader wondering what happened. Kind of mysterious. Nice job. I liked your refrain too. Nicely put together.
