I will die for you

by daryl seaman   May 28, 2006

Standing,
waiting silently,
gazing into the eyes of terrified men,
most of us will die this day,
i will die for you,
there goes the cry,
we charge.

screaming to intimidate and in fear,
thinking of our loved ones,
there on the battlefield we clash,
hearing the screams of a thousand men as the blood shed begins,
for once your inside theres no way out,
its every man for himself,

i feel cold,
i look at my chest,
as Im run through by cold steel,
then looking to my executioner,
his face smeared with the blood of others,
as I lay dying my painful death,
i think of you as I draw my very last breath.
