You Left Me Here

by Ally   May 29, 2006

Lying here in this darkness,
I'm crying now,
I'm drowning now.
This pain is so unhealing,
It's hard to feel,
Is this real?
Waiting here for your letter,
You can't see how hard I've tried,
To make this pain feel better.
I need you now,
I can hear you now.

Right now,
I feel the breaking of my heart,
You're living your life without me,
Said you're making a new start.
We are nothing but strangers now,
You left me here to wait,
You left me here,
You left me here.

I need you,
By my side.
To lift me up,
When I'm so low.
But I know,
You're not coming home.
To have you here,
I'll be waiting for years.

Right now,
I feel the breaking of my heart,
You're living your life without me,
Said you're making a new start.
We are nothing but strangers now,
You left me here to wait,
You left me here,
You left me here.

I want love,
I want care,
But this hate,
I can't bare!
You make me feel so separated
From the crowd.
Who has the love they need,
I've done so much for you,
But for now...
You'll never see.

Right now,
I feel the breaking of my heart.
You're living your life without me,
Said you're making a new start.
We are nothing but strangers now,
You left me here to wait,
You left me here,
You left me here.

This was written for my father.
