A Story...(been told for too long)

by Amy   May 29, 2006

Looking through glass eyes they do not see
the basic facts of reality
they hurt and the lies are told
slowly watch as they unfold

for children cry and don't sleep at night
all mum and dad do is fight
for they said God created us all
little knowing death is out fall

scared children alone and crying
about the man who said shes dying
was it true what that man said?
could their mother soon be dead?

its a story told on and on
a story thats been told for way too long
a story that sheds too many tears
a product of our hearts biggest fears

she is sick, children don't understand
mum is back in hospital again
she has no hair and her features are white
daddy's crying cause shes loosing the fight

children cry as the story unfolds
about the man their mum saw long ago
he was a doctor who said he would fix her
until she found out she had cancer...
