Maybe Then...

by Cassie   May 29, 2006

When nothing matters anymore,
When you have lost all hope,
It's hard, no, it's impossible,
Impossible to cope.

When your one and only lifeline
Suddenly cuts the thread,
You find yourself just wishing,
Just wishing you were dead.

When you're heart is breaking slowly
Until it is beyond repair,
There's precious little you can do
To keep from drowning in despair.

When you hurt yourself while you're alone
In the darkness of your mind,
And pain and heartache mingle
And become slowly interwined,
You know there's nothing left,
That the world really wants you gone,
And you realize that it's over,
You just can't keep holding on.

When you take a knife and make the choice
To which the world will agree,
Maybe once you let go,
Maybe then you'll be free.

Ok, I like this poem, I to have come close with a knife to end my life, but you can't do that, you wont be free by ending your life. Come on, move on from your past that haunts you, you're better than that, if I can survive being kicked out of my house just for being in love, you can survive what you're going through. I like your poem though, but please dont let this heartache get ou down
