Darkside of the moon

by Wings Of Flames   May 30, 2006

The dew was like a giant puddle,
In the morn as they depart,
Moon kissed the sun goodbye,
But with him he took her heart.

I saw it with my own eyes,
The sun shone through the light,
He took her simple wishes,
And turned stars into the night,

Just to show the world,
The beauty of his love,
Her light and her spirit,
But she's gone like a dove,

For the moon is suppressed to darkness,
The sun is forced to reign,
The time we are alive,
With nothing left to gain,

But until one moment,
For a minute they are as one,
We are submitted to the dark,
So they are together, the moon and sun.

    I love it, it's beautiful.
I was reading back to my poem "bleeding" and saw the comment you left, like, forever ago.
And I don't know if I ever actually thanked you for that, or let you know how much it means to me.
    It means a lot.
    a LOT.
    Thanks so much.
    Great work lately....

First poem I have read of yours that was not submitted into the dark poetry section. And it was well worth the read! The ending line, fricken made my jaw drop. How you summed it up that they were together the moon and sun, when earlier in the poem you had said the moon kissed the sun good-bye. I had thought to myself that was just a very imaginative way of saying day faded into night, but it was so much more than that! I loved it. Absolutely loved it. 5/5 =]
