I Lost It

Why am I still crying?
It is another day
Why do I still miss him
When he has gone away.
I remember that night
The one that he left
His dad had lost it
His brother stayed strong
For he had sisters
Both old and young
He had to help them
He had to keep his mind
Off the fact.
I lost it inside
The outside I was hanging on
Just by a thread.
I went to his house
Talked to his dad
I went and laid in his bed
I couldn't hold on
I couldn't stay strong
I had to let go.
So why can't I move on?
Why can't I stop crying?
Why can't I stop missing him?
Why am I still blue?
Why am I hanging on?
To someone who isn't there?
