To my k n e e s...

Sitting in his car,
he's all alone tonight,
he'd let her know it wasen't meant to be,
she swore she'd be allright,
and as the reality hits,
it brings him to his [k n e e s]

just a few hours before,
he broke her the bad news,
he acted like he didn't care,
she hid what she was going through,
and as the day did wear,
he started to realize how much he [c a r e d]

the day kept dragging on,
he couldn't understand why,
he loved her so much,
she couldn't help but cry,
and as their hands did touch,
and his heart realized as [m u c h]

the sun was fading quickly,
he shelved all his pride,
he asked for another chance,
but she said no this time,
as he walked away,
in disbelief about what she had to [s a y]

the day was suddenly over,
she thought her life was too,
she loved him very much,
he didn't know what to do,
as she left this time,
she knew that he would be just [f i n e]

    Thanks.. i wrote it at one of those moments where it feels like your world collapsed..but i changed the perspective, because perception is everything.... im glad that it affects you like that, thats the goal of my poetry..to touch on things in a way that is understood..

    I just can't get over this poem... it affects me in a really strange way. it hits me sraight in my heart, bcuz it shows how foolish that boy truly was, until he lost it all... you are very gifted.
