Shadows

by Tiffany Vorce   May 30, 2006

Shadows linger in the darkness of our pain,
Sometimes life gets us,
We regret things in vain.

Watching the pain flow down on me,
I wish the horrible things I saw,
You could clearly see.

Crying in shadows of hatred sinking in,
The devils here and I seem to sin.

My tears are the lies that flow through your blood,
And behind your chipped nails,
My pain goes right through me,
Like wind goes through sails.

Wondering eyes appear in my fears,
Pain and death lay still in my tears.

Silent screams are all I can hear,
Your voice seems so distant but I know you’re near.

Pains flowing deep down below,
Trying to kill the pain even if it’s going slow.
