Anything but a Dream

by sarahcide   May 30, 2006

As I close my eyes
and read myself to sleep,
I try to think about
what I will dream.

I picture myself running down an
empty street
Screaming out "Help!"
Nobody will help me.
Nobody will save me.
Nobody will rescue me from these
face painted freaks.

Then, all of a sudden
without any warning whatsoever,
I fall.
I fall down into their sewer.
I am in their world now.

As I sit down, and try to hide the
fear in my eyes
a clown comes up to me,
and casts a killing spell upon me
while saying "Do not fear, this is anything but a dream."

    I like the ending.
    very enchanting
except theres some things you need to work on.
Your rhythm is a bit off and some words could have been better.
