Tell Me a Story of a Beauty

by Raychil   May 31, 2006

Tell me a story
Of a beauty so fair
That all who looked upon her
Would be captivated and stare

Tell me a tale
Of this maiden so sweet
Of her first real rescue
And the prince that she'd meet

Sing me a sonnet
Of a wedding most grand
Two people in the alter
Standing hand in hand

Sing me a ballad
Of a beauty that has died
That all who looked into those eyes
Will feel the tears she cried

Tell me a rhyme
Of a beauty's broken heart
And the abusive husband
That tore her apart

Tell me a story
Of a beauty once fair
Who met the man of her dreams
But that dream has become a nightmare..

Can 'Wow' just sum this poem up? No, I don't think so. I have to go into my little rant about how I loved it, Hehe. There is this thing called 'Voice' and 'Tone', and this fits in with the Writer and how they express their images or vocation of it all in the poem. Well, you defintely have both of those elements. Your Tone and Voice in the poem is just... magnificent. And it resembles in all your poems (Which is a good thing). I really liked the flow and how it sounded when I read it inside my head... I really did! Great, Great. You are always posting new poems... how am I to keep up with you?! 5/5, Good Job.
