Reality's Reflection

by bboyjp   Jun 1, 2006

When you look in the mirror, there is always a Person,
It is only a reflection, but never a default version,
Sometimes what you see, is not the real you,
And reality is the reflection, on everything you do,
From papers falling, and sounds that echo,
People that love so much, it is impossible to let go,
It is an object, a person, a place or a thing,
A song, a melody, or something you sing,
The actions that collide and create so much difficulty,
Anything you say in the littlest way to insult me,
From a teen that causes trouble, to a child that cries,
No matter what we do, everything in the world collides,
It takes more than making love for someone to feel you,
And a reflection in the mirror never shows the real you,
There is an outcome to every choice, but only when you decide it,
Know a reflection is impossible to describe what is true behind it,
From your hair to your chin is a distinct complexion,
Even with all these preachers, you never get a real connection,
Look at the person in the mirror, that face defines deception,
But to reach you must look deep, right through your own reflection,

That was great! I loved the part about reaching through the reflection to find the real you. That can be so hard to do, but it is the only way to find your true being. Again, great job!
