My true reflection

by Shelby Smith   Jun 1, 2006

A ray of sunshine
A warm touch
Rise of the morning sun,

A black silhouette of rolling hills
gently clouding an evening sunset

Night sky surrounds me
I can feel its breath against my face

The soft rumbling of thunder can be heard in the distance

Blankly I gaze at the gray dismal sky as tears silently roll down my face

The thunder grows louder

The sky opens and pours down its grace to wash my tears away,

As i sit alone under the sky
the angels cried with me,

In the midst of the moment when all seemed lost
I found what I had been searching for all along

In the puddle beneath my feet
I saw my true reflection
And thats all I ever wanted to be .
