Reflection of Lost

by ari   Jun 1, 2006

Behind these eyes
you'll see
all the things I could
never be.
All the hate, all the love
was lost on me.
You'll see the reflection of a girl
that never really was.
Her hair so smoky black,
her eyes a poisonous green.
Her lips so cherry red,
that she always try to hide,
because when you aren't looking,
she drank cyanide.
She hates herself too much,
she just can't take the pain,
because she knows that all
those beautiful things,
she'll never gain.
She can't hide from all this
war and strife,
but she knows she can
depend on her knife.
It's her one true friend,
someone that will keep,
her dirty little secrets,
till the end.
So if you see those green eyes
in the reflection
of the bathroom mirror,
you'll be seeing the reflection
of a true horror story.
And the victim was me.
