The last goodbye

We've known each other for years and years,
we've had so much fun.
all the fights and all the tears,
it was well worth it hun.

why do we have to say goodbye,
it doesn't seem quite fair.
it might have only been one lie,
we were a great friendship pair.

take me back to those days,
when we were so glad.
where i could feel the hot sun rays,
and we didn't feel so bad.

i can't believe you have to go,
and leave me here to sigh.
is it because i told you so,
this really is the last goodbye.
