Goodbye

This poem was written by my friend Hope.

Did you not realize that you
weren't only my friend but my life too.
Did you not realize that you hurt me inside,
so I have to cry.
Cry for the broken promises
and all the times you've lied.
Sometimes I think to myself,
Did he ever really care for me
or was it all pretend.
These questions are unanswered
but I wish they weren't.
Sometimes I go day after day wondering,
will he ever give me a chance
to show him how much I love him,
and how much I care,
to find it's all a waste,
to throw it away.
He won't give me the chance
because I won't take it.
I've gone through too much
to have my heart broken once again.
so I end this with nothing to say but,
goodbye my hero and friend.
