Immigrants

by Javier   Jun 3, 2006

Don't take away the only good thing I'm known for, and thats hard work,
I came here jumping borders, swimming across rivers, and even sometimes used a fake passport.
But why is this a felony? Why is this something to me ashamed of?
We have been stereotyped as violent and lazy, but my people had enough.
I'm not a leader, but I do have a loud voice,
I'm sorry I was born a minority but I was given no other choice.
I see no differences between me and you, we are all the same,
We all shed tears, we all die at the end, and we all feel pain.
I didn't want to come here, but I was tired of being poor,
I took so many insults, but I just cant take anymore.
Mr. president please tell me why you want to secure the border walls,
Instead you should thank us for making this foreign land rich for all the Americans.
Walk-outs and A day with out an immigrant was necessary,
Were not doing this for fun, its just your point of view that makes this nation dreary,
See this carefully and clearly.

So before you go to sleep just think about everything without a doubt,
We clean your house, we give you all these comforts, and we even put the food in your mouth.
-The only way to triumph in the game of life is unity and teamwork-
