Blood All Around Me

by MizzBelle   Jun 3, 2006

Blood all around me,
Nowhere to run,
A note in her hand,
As well as a gun.

A book on the floor,
Now covered in blood,
A title that reads,
"Memory filled floods."

I pick up the book,
And start to read,
It talks about,
torture,cutting and greed.

I put the book down,
And head for the note,
It titles the words,
"The last thing I ever wrote."

I read it aloud,
And start to cry,
It made me feel guilty,
It made me want to die.

The pressure,the pain,
The hurt,the sorrow,
The sadness,the tears,
The fear of tomorrow.

"People treat me horrible,
like I don't even exist,
I took the gun tonight,
And this time I didn't miss."

The words echoed through my head,
As tears filled my eyes,
Darkness didn't surrender,
It went & corrupted the skies.

I took one last look,
As I walked out and said goodbye,
A poor innocent sweet girl,
Why did she have to die?

WOW! I really loved this poem!! It was so sad. The rhyming was spot on and the flow was excellent. All the words you used fitted in the poem well. You made it easily understandable. That shows great poem. I definitly rated this poem a 5/5
