Summer

by Megan   Jun 3, 2006

Hugs and kisses,
Midnight wishes,
Swimming in the pool
Into the wee hours of the morning.

Running around in the field out back,
Feeling the breeze throughout my hair,
Now's the time everyone's cutting me some slack
'Cause now I have the summertime flair.

Now I'm wearing tank tops
And hearing my flip-flops
Hitting the sidewalk,

Drinking ice cold lemonade
While lying in the cool shade,

Staring at the blue skies
And seeing lots of cute guys,

Hanging out on late nights,
And having awesome water fights
With the guys and the girls,

Lots of melting ice creams
Leading up to sweet dreams,

Partying cause school's out,
Sleeping in and sneaking out
With my girls at slumber parties,

Breathing in some fresh air,
Letting down my sun-streaked hair.

I'm living up this endless summer
Since I'm finally there.

Soon enough the summer strays
And the tans start to fade,
But after all the fun we've made,
The memories will stay.

*Little parts of cute summer quotes make up most of this poem. Just saying. =]*
