Lie.

Some things will never be different,
They will never change.
You said once would be enough,
So why are we still wondering?
Today faced with all this,
All you said, total lies.

Covered up with happiness,
Yet all the guilt soothed your pain.
I read you like a book,
Back to front, I know the whole story.
There was no need to understand,
The clues pieced it all together.

Withdrawal and constant nag,
It wasn't the true you.
Hiding the enemy product,
Only he knew the devil.
Screwed your mind,
Creating this mess, yet again.

Past showed you the mistakes,
Why wouldn't you learn from this?
Lied to yourself, to them,
Can we trust you again?
Is the emotion fake?
Is that face not a mask?

It's all out now,
You can't forget it.
Numbing your mind,
Taking the bad out, all wrong.
Weren't we good enough?
You had to knock it all out.

On the spot you can't recall,
The simplest of tasks.
Playing along, it's a bad day you say,
But it's too late to cover this mess up,
Sick of the lies, part of me hates you,
For deleting what we repeated time again and again.

Turning back into unknown territory,
Should I stay and fall?
Or leave you, and forget?
Now, I'm fearing the worst,
Hurry before it's too late.
