I wish we could go back
to the way things were
everything was beautiful
when we both felt the same
and there wasn't a thought for change
when we would talk
for hours on end
sharing the secrets of our lives
and take long walks beneath the trees
watching the light spill in
as it danced along the ground
creating a new energy around us
and we wouldn't say anything
for we didn't want to ruin this moment
and the day we danced together
when you stared deep into my eyes
and everything seemed ok
we had eachother, that was all
like it was meant to be
but the days went by
and i stayed the same
but you slowly drifted away

now when i see you

without feeling this pain
