The Munich Conference

by PS   Jun 5, 2006

Somewhere, elsewhere they meet
the leaders of war torn countries
secrets among enemies and allies alike
what should we do? this or that?
say the leaders as they meet

Czechoslovakia is handed to Germany
with countless good wishes
as its eaten, allies turn away

France loses its mind to think
and looks to the Nelly Neville
Chamberlain of Great Britain
both turn without a second thought

soviet union won't attempt of save
without the help of lillylivered France
thus the soviet union turns its back

the people of Czech sit and wonder
how people can watch their own backs
without looking to those who need help
how allies can go astray without a blink

the second world war, just part of the first
is filled with such work of those who
promised to help but then turned their backs
a war that filled with the horrors from
the disloyalty of a few
