As I Sit Here Tonight

by simply taylor   Jun 5, 2006

As I sit here tonight,
I cannot help but to think,
what you're doing right now.
I think of you day an night,
and wonder what it would be like,
if I didn't have you by my side.
I love you so much,
that words cannot describe it.
I love you more than,
the moon loves the stars.
I love you more than,
the clouds love the sky.
If you weren't here with me,
I don't know where I would be.
I would be lost and confused,
and I wouldn't know what to do.
I can talk to you about almost anything.
And I'm not afraid to be myself.
I want to whisper in your ear,
I Love You.
But I'm afraid of your reaction.
Would you look at me with pure disgust,
or look at me with eyes of lust.
Would you lean in to give me a kiss,
or would you get up and walk away.
If you were to kiss me,
I would kiss you back.
If you were to get up and walk away,
I would get up and chase after you.
If you were to get out of my grasp,
I would sit down and cry on the grass.
If it were raining, I would sit and get wet.
I would cry and cry all night long.
With you here, I finally know,
my place in life.
My place is right here by you,
hand in hand looking at the sky.
As the sun starts to set,
I turn to look at you,
and softly whisper,
I Love You More Than Anything
You look into my eyes,
an peck me on the lips.
Forever and ever,
this moment will stay in my heart.
I won't forget all of our memories.
Until the day that I shall die.
