The first thing to do, is to get America to come through.
We have the technology, but we do not seem to see.
We can make alternative fuels, but politicians are cruel.
When will we smarten up, to the Mideast we are pups.
Why must we wait, until we send more troops to the bait.
In 1970 we knew this, now that is why I am pissed.
Oil companies are too strong, that is just plain wrong.
Car companies buy the politicians too, and we are like a bunch of cattle - Moo!
Global warming is part of all this, fossil fuels - send away with a kiss.
Gas prices still soar, it eats me to the core.
I would change this one deed, I would make the government take the lead.
They would pay big bucks, to anyone who can solve this muck.
Everyone knows that money talks, and that bulls_ _ t walks.
No, this does not solve everything, but oil would not be the bling-bling.

Ohh geez, tell me about it. Those gosh darn gas prices are a pain! This is very true, all of it. It's good to see people who know the mistakes of the world. I wish other people can see it too, maybe then more people would try to change it.

A very impassioned write. You speak volumes in this poem about the day to day troubles we all must face.
I have to drive to work for an hour so thispoem really hit home to me with references to gas and oil.
The most powerful line I found was:
Gas prices still soar, it eats me to the core.
I can relate to the feelings expressed in this glorious poem!
