GONE PART 2

by Tess Beautifully Broken   Jun 6, 2006

Days become weeks,
Weeks become months,
No whisper in her ear,
No simple hello,
She aches,
He is gone.

The first season begins,
People bundle up,
Huddle together,
They want to be warm,
She is always cold,
Snow is falling,
It is freezing her heart,
She cries,
He is gone.

The second season pains her,
Its the season of new,
Flowers are budding,
Love is in the air,
The air is thin wherever she walks,
She shakes,
He is gone.

The third season makes her anxious,
People run and play,
She sits at home,
Bags under her eyes,
She hasn't slept in days,
The sun is heavy,
People sweat as they run,
She quivers,
He is gone.

The fourth season compells her,
Like the leaves she is changing,
Falling from her old height,
Turning dull instead of bright,
Stepped on instead of picked,
Morbidly beautiful,
She falls,
He is gone.

The snow is falling once again,
Light clothing replaced for heavy,
Just like the air,
Her blood is running cold,
A year he has been gone,
He is never coming back,
Like the sun,
Her breath stops.

He comes back,
An ache in his heart,
he couldn't call her,
He was too afraid,
He searched for her,
It seemed he was too late,
She was gone.

If he had listened to the wind,
He would have heard I love you,
If he had looked up at the sky,
He would have seen I waited written in the clouds,
If he had searched the shadows,
He would have read...
“I am gone.”
