Outcome of an outcast

by Sorefromreality   Jun 6, 2006

The freak everyone stares at
that no one understands
don't dare to get close to her
or try to take her hand

hated by so many
and criticized by even more
she cries at night but no one knows
what happens behind closed doors

sobbing in sorrow
and screaming in rage
feeling like she is captured in closed-mindedness
or locked up in a cage

so she carries on
with an unattentive mother
with no one to hold her
and loneliness to love her

she cries out in frustration
"I cant take this!"
she ponders running right there and now
would she even be missed?

an outcast with inner problems
trying to just fit in
she doesn't dare utter a sound
you will never catch her grin

with her pink converses and fishnet tights
she isn't what you call average
but now she must go across
the long, difficult self-esteem bridge

leave her past behind
and walk forward to her future
running from her problems
comes as second nature

she is gone
no one knows where
as if they would even
slightly care

so now she packs her bag
I'm writing of her story, giving her fame
she loads up a few cans of cola
and this girl goes by the name
of Lola

***dedicated to Lola, the girl everyone has been or has made fun of....wherever you are now, we are looking over you...***
