Aww bud...this is so sad!

I know there's a lot of crap that happens, but that's just life. I promise that even through all the bad things, there's more good things to come that are worth living for. Maybe I'm just an optimistic, but hey =) Well I liked the poem because it was deep... keep up the good work!

Well, in all honesty the first thought that came into mind when I saw the title 'I was a mistake' I thought it would be another feel-sorry-for-me type poem that I've seen from some other poets on this site. Not that those are bad poems, as writing is here to express, I find them to hold lots of emotion: and it's the emotion that I strive for. However, you did not write quite like that. Instead, you wrote something that appeals to everyone, and probably has entered the thoughts of many of us (including myself). It is quite a sad poem, because it tells me that life isn't as it should be, and there's a reason for pessimest (spelling?) behaviour. You expressed your point of view to a world that will most likely understand where you're coming from, and you did it clearly and concisely - all the while there was still strong bouts of emotion, like a sense of hurt from being let down by the world, or losing all hope... Excellent write.
