Showtime

It\'s showtime
Time to throw on the costume
Time to apply the cosmetics
Time to put all else behind

It\'s opening night
First act, it\'s time
Your mouth overflows with lies
Trickery flows out naturally

It\'s backstage
No one around, everything\'s quiet
You spend the extra time
Recalling future lines

All that you do
Is for the audience
Pleasing the crowd
Is the center of your life

You walk out
Seeming confident and proud
But inside you\'re weak
And you\'ve got everbody fooled

Painted emotions
Replace what should be genuine
And your movents are so precise
As if you\'re striving to fit in

The entire time of your life
You conceal yourself
Always acting, always reacting
The way they want you to

But you\'re so naive
You don\'t even realise
How you dismantle people\'s lives
By manipulation and deception

So you constantly crave
This natural high burning inside
Acceptance and praise
Is what keeps you alive
