Can't stop trying

Not sure where I'm trying to go with this, where I went with this, or whatever. all of it came from my screw-up of a heart...and that's all I know ;-) haha

Just giving five more minutes, to forge on
just five more minutes to keep trying, before I'm gone
I can't ever stop trying, halting is certain suicide
and I can't do that, not after all the tears I've cried

Power of will, is all I have left to use
and other than friends, I have nothing to lose
I've lost almost all else I once cherished
but I have my girlfriend, and that's all I've wished

That's all I need, to keep moving on, she's an angel
in my world of demons, surrounded by a life that's full
of stuff unwanted, all they are, are obstacles in my way
but naw man, I won't stop trying, won't ever sway away

From my path, I'll always be here for my friends
always be ready to help them, to no real ends
I'd follow them to hell and back again if they needed
it, and I know they'd do the same, we've heeded

Each other's calls of help before, and we'll do it again
we don't need to prove anymore, it goes without saying
we all love each other, like a best friend, or a brother
or a girlfriend, a sister, they'll be replaced by no other

Nothing will stop me, from forging on, from trying
to do what I must, even if I'm left here crying
stopping ain't an option, for this child, not ever
I can't ever stop going, I'll keep going and trying,
forever...
