A plead that You aren't alone. We Need you

by Marie Lana   Jun 7, 2006

Feeling depressed often, hurting everyday
Secretly crushed that you cant turn the other way
Its taken over your body, your soul, your mind
But you try to Deny it and say every things just fine

Pushing it away, trying to maintain a smile
Some kids loose, They go crazy and wild
Some commit suicide because they cant handle it
Something that no one should ever have to live wit

Life is bad enough Manic depression makes it worse
It Isn't something to laugh about, Hell Its an effin curse
Scars on your arms, arranged in rows
Covering it up With a shirt, just so nobody knows

Hiding the Pain with prescriptions and a blade
But instead realizing this life you have made
Trying to turn back the hands of time
Trying to get your life back in line

But nothings working, Its all falling apart
Slowly ripping, and tearing at your slowly dying heart
Making it bleed more, It already hurts
Trying everything but nothing works

All of us, just giving up
Getting mad, emptying the cup
Of Life, just doing it because nothing was right
Trying to move further, trying to strife

It won the battle but not the fight
The sunny days turn to silent nights
Sitting all alone, trying to think
Then in a sec its all gone, When accidentally you blink

Sometimes your life could be amazing, or at least good
But you hold back the tears, not knowing you could
A perfect person destroyed by depression
Laying down the facts, Your last confession

Saying you were never who you wanted to be
Trying to open your eyes but you still cant see
Manic depression, it destroys us all
Try to hold your head up, But we all tend to fall

Getting back up, some of the times
Reminiscing on it all, wanting to hit rewind
"Give me a new life," is what we all plead
A new life is truly what we all need

Thats not going to happen, it would probably be worse
Then you'd see your friends, family, in a hearse
Deep down inside everyone has this curse in each of us
Leaving our souls, our minds, our body into dust

Wanting it to stop, you want it to go away
But you must not give up, Embrace for another day
Manic depression, yes it hurts us all
Knocks down your security walls

Gets inside, doesn't go away
making everything bad instead of okay
Its killed many, and will kill many more
Takes the key to our lives, and closes the door

Tears falling from your eyes, Cloudy skies
Your body letting out silent cries, Thats when one of us dies
Lots dying, Too many are giving up
Hold on, Keep your head up

Don't let it win, at least TRY to pull through
Because if you don't, what are the rest of us suppose to do?
Its going to continue with its Little ways a lure
Until one of us stands up, and somehow finds a cure
