Summer of Love

by Flying Phoenix   Jun 7, 2006

Soft dark secrets blown by the wind
A thousand kisses in the sun
Tender caresses in the moonlight
Laughter and games at coming of night
Long deep looks
Into the eyes of another
Playful glances
Secret names
Alone in the sunshine
Together again

Heavy dark clouds scatter across the sky
Moonbeams blotted out
And the summer did fly
Gentle touches long forgotten
Heated up passion
Crashing on down
As does the lightening
Straight to the ground

Jagged pieces of silver scatter the ground
Shards of the mirror left all around

Broken in passion
Repaired with love
Those were the days
That summer of love
